Brought you by our friend Cynette Montoya:

Storing wine isn’t just all about functionality. It actually involves a lot of creativity as well! If you’re starting on a wine cellar project, for example, or you’re planning on upgrading your old cellar, it’s the perfect opportunity to let your creative juices flow. Don’t settle for just any kind of wine rack. Take time to think about your bottle storage needs and how you can innovate in terms of design and style as well. We’ll take you through a few interesting and super fun ways to rack up your collection, so read on!

Learn the art of stacking

Stacking wine racks doesn’t mean you just plunk one on top of the other to save on floor space. You can actually play around with the height configurations by mixing and matching various racking components. This way, not only do you maximize your available floor space, but you can also turn out a very unique look for your wine racking assembly. There are racks than can start at 3ft and go as high as 10ft configurations. They give you so much storage as well as style flexibility.

Throw in some curves

Now there may be spaces that are quite stubborn to work with. Take for example nooks and crannies which prevent you from achieving a seamless appearance to your wine racking system. The solution is simple and fun: curved corner racks! There are plenty of choices, from true radiused curved corner racks to angled curved corners, square corners and more. Throw in some custom crown and base moldings and you’ll be wonderfully surprised at how nice and smooth your racks can flow from one end to the other.

Play around with bottle sizes

For sure, your collection won’t be all in one size. You’ll have your standard-sized bottles, magnums, and other larger-format bottles, especially if you collect champagne as well. Select wine racks that can securely and comfortably accommodate the different sizes while also letting you experiment with the look of your wine racking system. For example, try combining single and double deep storage options, along with vertical displays and bulk bottle storage racks for loose bottles.

Be stylishly space-efficient

Whether you’re dealing with standard-sized bottles or larger-format ones, don’t get discouraged if your available storage space seems a bit compact. There are a ton of ways to rack up those bottles without making your wine cellar appear too cramped. Try for example working with metal wine racks, especially those which you can both stack and wall-mount. Or, you can look into the smaller stackable wine racks in various configurations which can allow you to store your bottles anywhere, even in those seemingly tight spaces.

So don’t just rack and stack your collection. Remember that you can rack and stack them the fab, fun way by doing your research, taking your measurements, and adding a dash of ingenuity. *Cheers*
